Keyboard and screen readers
Every part of PIE is operable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline that is never hidden without a replacement. Real buttons, labeled form fields, and ordered headings mean PIE reads correctly with a screen reader without extra work bolted on afterward. When PIE is doing something in the background - reading a receipt, learning from a correction - that update is announced, not left silent.
Contrast and color
Text meets a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background, and interactive borders and focus rings meet 3:1 - both computed directly, not eyeballed, against every color PIE uses in light and dark mode. PIE never uses color alone to mean something; how confident PIE is in what it learned is always paired with words, never a color by itself.
Touch targets and motion
Buttons, links, and form controls are at least 44x44 pixels, comfortably above the minimum accessibility standards require. Any motion PIE ever adds respects your system's reduced-motion setting.
Tell us where PIE falls short
Automated accessibility testing runs against PIE continuously, but automated testing does not catch everything. There is no dedicated accessibility-feedback address live yet - one will be listed here before PIE is generally available.
